International seminar on diversified dispute resolution mechanisms for intellectual property rights held

On September 6, an international seminar on diversified settlement mechanisms for intellectual property disputes hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) China Office and Beijing Intellectual Property Office, and co-organized by the Capital Copyright Association and the Capital Intellectual Property Service Association was held at the China International Convention Center Convened.

　　 This seminar is one of the important international events of the China International Trade in Services Fair and is held in a combination of online and offline methods. Ma Yan, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice, Feng Hua, Secretary General of the Capital Copyright Association, Igonason Castro, Director of the World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center, Zhao Changxin, President of the Beijing Internet Court, Liu Liu, Director of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Ying, Tencent Group Deputy Director Qiao Jing, and WIPO arbitrator You Minjian, etc., focused on the new features and new problems in the field of domestic and foreign intellectual property dispute resolution under the new situation, and how to improve the ability to resolve intellectual property disputes and build a diversified solution of intellectual property disputes Mechanism issues were discussed extensively and in-depth, and interactions with online and offline guests were conducted.

　　 In addition, Feng Hua and Zhao Changxin introduced the "E copyright" lawsuit against the "Yunlian" mechanism jointly created by the Capital Copyright Association and Beijing Internet Court to the Chinese and foreign representatives attending the meeting. This mechanism is the country's first collaborative work mechanism for litigation and non-litigation mediation to establish a linkage between online and offline litigation and non-litigation mediation, and it is also an important breakthrough in China's exploration of establishing and improving a diversified intellectual property dispute resolution mechanism. The “cloud connection” mechanism relies on informatization and intelligent construction to realize online interconnection and in-depth linkage. It will promote the resolution of judicial and social problems caused by the frequent occurrence of copyright disputes, and jointly create copyright protection and social governance. In terms of its innovative model, it has become a Beijing sample of “early rights protection and quick protection” of intellectual property rights.

From international organizations such as the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Korean Embassy in China, the American Film Association, the International Phonographic Industry Association, the Korean Copyright Commission, the Japan External Trade Organization, the Japanese Content Product Overseas Distribution Promotion Agency, and the State Intellectual Property Office of China, Beijing Intellectual Property Nearly 200 representatives from relevant government departments, courts, intellectual property service agencies, well-known law firms, and Internet companies attended the meeting.
