China-Saudi Arabia Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot will be launched on November 1, 2020

According to the cooperation agreement on the “Patent Prosecution Highway Project between the State Intellectual Property Office of China and the Saudi Intellectual Property Office”, the China State Intellectual Property Office (CNIPA) and the Saudi Intellectual Property Office (SAIP) Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot project will be held in 2020 It will be launched on November 1, and will last for three years, ending on October 31, 2023.

After the Sino-Saudi PPH pilot program is launched, SAIP applicants can submit a PPH request to CNIPA according to the "Procedure for Proposing a PPH Request to the China National Intellectual Property Office (CNIPA) under the Sino-Saudi Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) Pilot Project"; CNIPA applicants A PPH request can be made to SAIP in accordance with the "Process for Making a Request to the Saudi Intellectual Property Office (SAIP) under the Patent Examination Highway Pilot Project".
